Description / Scope of Work
The Directorate General of Archaeology, Government of the Punjab invites electronic bids through ePADS for the uplifting of Taxila Bazar shops, construction of bus stops, and renovation of Tool Plaza in Taxila, Punjab. This is Package-II of the Preservation, Restoration, Improvement, Management and Upgradation of Taxila project. The estimated project cost is Rs. 301.562 million with a completion deadline of 31 July 2026. The work encompasses facade upgradation and horticulture works at the Taxila archaeological site, one of Pakistan's most significant cultural heritage locations.
Interested firms must be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council in category C-3 or above and possess mandatory fields of specialization including BC-02, CE-01, CE-02, CE-05, CE-10 (Horticulture Works), and EE06. All bidders must demonstrate relevant experience in facade upgradation and horticulture works. The bid security required is 5 percent of the estimated cost, to be submitted as a CDR or bank guarantee in favor of the Director General Archaeology. Bidders must quote rates against each item in the DNIT/BOQ on an absolute basis rather than percentage basis, with all pages of rate analysis, summary, and sub-summary completely filled for each lot.
Complete electronic bids must be submitted online at www.punjab.eprocure.gov.pk by 15 June 2026 at 2:00 PM. Technical bid opening will occur on the same date at 2:30 PM. The original CDR or bank guarantee instrument must be submitted to the Director General Archaeology office at 60-A, Garden Block, Garden Town, Lahore on or before bid opening time. Bidding documents are available on the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority website at www.ppra.punjab.gov.pk. The procurement will follow the Single Stage Two Envelope procedure as per PPRA rules 2014.
