Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Highway Department (South Zone) invites sealed competitive bids for the reconstruction, construction, widening, improvement and rehabilitation of roads under the Annual Development Program 2025-26. Two major road projects are being tendered in Bahawalnagar district: Project 1 involves re-construction and widening of the road from Chishtian to Shehar Farid to Manghair Sharif, Shehar Farid to Adda Sadiq Pur via Mubarak Pur, and connecting roads to Basti Sadiq Pur, Shahi Garbi, Basti Bahadur Khan, Ghadoka Chowk and Zargam Chowk with links to Ashiq Muhammad, Basti Nuna, and Chak 21/G, totalling a taken length of 19.80 kilometres. Project 2 covers reconstruction and widening of the road from Pansota Chowk to Main Daharanwala and Fortabbas Road via Chowk 177/M, Chuna Wala Chowk Hasilpur and associated routes (440/6R, 436/6R, 175/7R) under Phase-I, with a total project length of 97.75 kilometres and a taken length of 30.75 kilometres. Both projects are situated in Bahawalnagar district under the Highway Circle Bahawalpur and Highway Division Bahawalnagar.
Bidders must be registered contractors with the Punjab Highway Department or relevant provincial authority, possessing valid tax registration and necessary experience in similar road construction and rehabilitation works. Earnest money (bid security) must accompany all tender submissions as specified in the bid document. Contractors should ensure compliance with all quality standards, specifications, and technical requirements outlined in the contract documents. All tenders must include detailed schedules, methodology, timelines and resource allocation plans.
Bid documents can be obtained from the Highway Division Bahawalnagar office during office hours upon payment of the prescribed fee. Sealed tenders must be submitted to the office of the Executive Engineer, Highway Division Bahawalnagar, on or before the closing date and time specified. Tenders will be opened on the scheduled date in the presence of bidders and their representatives.
