Description / Scope of Work
The Institute of Business Administration Karachi invites quotations for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical earthing pits for IT equipment at its Main Campus located on University Road in Karachi, Sindh. The project involves the complete design and execution of five earthing pit systems, each featuring 19mm diameter pure copper solid rods measuring three metres in length, pure copper busbars, heavy duty RCC inspection chambers with earth symbols, and all associated copper fittings and bentonite chemical treatment. The earthing result must achieve a resistance of less than one ohm, with minimum pit depth of fifty feet. The contractor is responsible for site clearance of all mud and debris upon project completion. General Sales Tax of eight percent applies to the total contract value. Reference number RFQ-003782 was issued on 8 June 2026.
Bidders must be technically qualified contractors with experience in electrical earthing systems installation. All quotations are subject to final inspection at the time of delivery, and IBA reserves the right to cancel orders if materials fail to meet specified standards or if delivery is delayed. Payment will be made through crossed cheque following receipt of invoice and delivery of completed work. Liquidity damages at two percent per month will be imposed for delayed delivery. Additional government taxes, levies, stamp duty at 0.35 percent on total purchase order value, and income tax as per applicable SRO rates will be charged separately.
A mandatory site visit will be conducted on Wednesday 10 June 2026 at 12:00 PM at IBA Main Campus. Quotations must be submitted by 11:00 AM on 11 June 2026 to the Purchase Department, IBA Main Campus, University Road, Karachi, contact telephone 03323760498 extension 2150. Advance payment is subject to bank guarantee. IBA reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation and to award contracts to the lowest responsive bidder for individual items or all items collectively.
