Description / Scope of Work
SSGC LPG Limited invites sealed bids for sandblasting, painting and other repair works on LPG Bulk Storage Spherical Tank No. 2 installed at SLL Port Qasim Terminal in Karachi, Sindh. The tender is issued under Single Stage One Envelope Bidding Procedure with reference number SSGC/LPG/SC/PT/1435 dated January 4, 2026. The spherical storage tank has a capacity of 1,000 MT with an internal diameter of 15.64 m and total outer surface area of 768 m² approximately. Contractual works include mechanical isolation of tank through spading of LPG pipelines, opening of manhole covers, freshwater filling and internal cleaning, sandblasting and painting of complete tank including pipelines, staircase and mechanical structures with replacement of different sizes of valves as detailed in the bill of quantities. Calibration of pressure relief valves must be done from OGRA approved TRIA only. The successful contractor must arrange protective sheeting and tarps to prevent damage from sand and dust and ensure electrical equipment in vicinity is properly shielded from potential contamination.
Proposals are required from qualified and experienced contractors on turnkey basis with no material splitting permitted. Bidders must possess relevant experience and competence in executing similar projects. The tender document requires submission of a fixed bid bond of Rs 1,100,000 (One Million One Hundred Thousand Only) along with the bid. Bids not conforming to terms and conditions or parts thereof may be rejected. The company reserves the right to add, delete or amend any part of tender documents during the bidding period. All bids must be accompanied by bid bond as Demand Draft in favor of SSGC LPG Limited with no bid entertained without bid bond or earnest money.
Bidders should download tender documents through EPADS electronic system, fill bill of quantities and bid forms, and upload all documents with authorized signatures and stamps through EPADS platform otherwise bids will be rejected. Physical bid bonds must be deposited in the Procurement Department at SSGC LDC Building, Karachi Terminal, Opposite Safari Park on Main University Road before bid opening. Bids will be received on or before June 30, 2026 at 03:00 hours and opened publicly at 03:30 hours the same day at Procurement Department SSGC LPG Limited, Head Office Karachi in presence of bidders or their authorized agents. Tender documents comprise invitation to bid, instructions to bidders, technical specifications, bill of quantities, special and general terms and conditions, bidder qualification criteria, payment terms and contract forms.
