Northern Areas Transport Corporation (NATCO), Gilgit-Baltistan, invites sealed bids from reputed manufacturers, authorized dealers, vendors, and suppliers for the supply of tyres and batteries for the financial year 2025-26. Two separate tenders are being floated: Tender 1 covers the supply of tyres for trucks, buses, coasters, vans, and official vehicles with a call deposit of Rs. 500,000 and Tender 2 covers the supply of batteries for the same vehicle categories with a call deposit of Rs. 300,000. The tyres and batteries are required for NATCO's extensive and varied fleet engaged in passenger and cargo transport services across multiple regions. International bidders may participate through their authorized local dealers or representatives. Both tenders will be opened on 29th June 2026 at NATCO Head Office in Gilgit.
Eligibility requirements include a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the manufacturing or dealership of tyres and batteries, with relevant supply orders and experience certificates to be submitted with the technical bid. Vendors must possess valid business registration certificates and provide an affidavit on stamp paper of Rs. 100 confirming they have never been blacklisted by any government or semi-government organization, PPRA, or GBPPRA. Financial stability is mandatory, with bank statements covering the period from January 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026, required for evaluation. Call deposits must be submitted along with technical proposals in the form of demand drafts from scheduled banks. The bidding procedure is single-stage, two-envelope, with evaluation on a 70:30 ratio where 70 percent is allocated to technical proposal and 30 percent to financial proposal.
Tender documents can be obtained from the NATCO Head Office in Gilgit or from the General Manager (South) in Islamabad upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 10,000 per tender document, to be deposited in the official NATCO account. Firms downloading documents from the NATCO website must also deposit the fee and attach the receipt with their technical proposal. Sealed bids must be submitted by 11:00 AM on 29th June 2026 for tyres and by 12:30 PM for batteries, with bid opening at 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM respectively at NATCO Head Office Gilgit.
