Cantonment Board Taxila is inviting sealed competitive bids for the auction and disposal of scrap materials and obsolete items accumulated at Taxila Cantonment in Punjab. The auction encompasses a wide range of surplus and non-functional equipment including electrical systems, wooden materials, paint containers, water tanks, drums, garden tools such as swords and khurpi, old machinery parts, worn-out batteries, motor oil containers, damaged tires and tubes, sanitary ware, nuts and bolts, hand tools, computer equipment, and miscellaneous office materials. The first auction is scheduled for June 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM, with a second round planned for June 30, 2026 if insufficient bids are received, and a third round on July 11, 2026 if needed. No separate advertisement will be issued for subsequent rounds.
Participants must be nationals holding valid national identity documents with certified copies submitted to the office. Bidders are required to deposit earnest money of Rs. 100,000 in the form of a bank call deposit or pay order in the name of the Cantonment Executive Officer Taxila before submitting bids. All unsuccessful bidders will have their earnest money refunded after bid closure, while the successful bidder's deposit will be adjusted against the final payment. Government employees, members of government firms or agencies, and defaulters of any government institution are ineligible to participate.
The successful bidder must remit one-forty-fifth of the total bid amount upon closure of bidding, with the remaining balance due within thirteen days of approval by the authorized officer, failing which the earnest money will be forfeited and the bid cancelled. Inspection of scrap materials is permitted during office hours before the auction commences. The Cantonment Executive Officer reserves the right under PPRA Rule 33 to reject any bid without assigning reasons.
