Description / Scope of Work
The Sayed Abdullah Shah Institute of Medical Sciences Sehwan, operating under the Health Department Government of Sindh, invites sealed bids on DDP basis for the financial year 2026-27. This Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) encompasses fourteen distinct procurement categories totalling procurement of pathology equipment, infection prevention and control materials, drugs and medicines on day-to-day basis at five percent discount, patient diet provisions, office stationery, printing and publications, IT equipment, medical gases, uniforms, janitorial services outsourcing, security guards outsourcing, other surgical and miscellaneous items, medical machinery and hospital furniture, and drugs and medicines on lump-sum basis at ten percent discount. The tender is open to well-reputed manufacturers, authorized agents, importers and suppliers registered in Pakistan with valid Income Tax and GST registration, following the Single Stage One Envelope Procurement procedure as per SPP Rules 2010 (Amendment 2026) for Tender Numbers 01 to 11, and Single Stage Two Envelope procedure for Tender Numbers 12 to 14.
Bidders must meet eligibility criteria as prescribed under SPP Rules 2010 (Amendment 2026), holding appropriate business registration and tax compliance documentation. A fixed bid security of 2 percent of the quoted value must be submitted at the Procurement Wing before bid submission in the form of a pay order or demand draft made in favor of the Director Sayed Abdullah Shah Institute of Medical Sciences Sehwan, FTN# 9030986-8. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance security of 2 percent of the total bid value of winning items as a CDR or bank guarantee. Original sealed bid security documentation must accompany all submissions, failing which bids will be declared disqualified. Tender fee of Rs 3000 payable via pay order is mandatory.
Tender documents can be downloaded and submitted through the SPPRA (EPADS) website. Bids must include all applicable government taxes and duties. The tender receipt must be obtained from the procurement branch after submitting the tender fee in the form of a pay order, which must be attached in the technical proposal envelope; failure to do so will result in disqualification. Bid submission and opening will occur on 30th June 2026, with submission at 11:30 AM and opening at 12:00 Noon. In case of public holidays or unfavorable circumstances, bids will be opened on the next working day. The Director reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities as deemed necessary.
