Description / Scope of Work
National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGC) invites sealed competitive bids from eligible firms and persons licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council for construction and completion of civil works, erection, stringing, testing and commissioning of a 500 kV DC double circuit quad bundle transmission line between Sangal to 500 kV Mians Switching Station in Punjab. The project scope includes detailed survey, sub-soil investigations, construction of tower conventional foundations, erection of towers, stringing, testing and commissioning of bundled transmission lines of approximately 5.87 km using controlled tension method. The tender is issued under reference number EPAD/TLC-16(R)-2026 with a bid validity period of 90 days from the date of opening.
Eligible bidders must be licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council in the appropriate category and meet the prescribed experience criteria. Bidders must demonstrate experience of at least two successfully completed similar projects involving transmission line construction, with at least 50 years combined operational history of such transmission lines prior to the bid submission deadline. Bid security must be submitted in the form of bank guarantee or call deposit at any scheduled bank in Pakistan in favor of CE MPAM, NGC. All bids must be accompanied by proper documentation including contract agreements, technical completion certificates and defects liability certificates, properly notarized and translated into English.
Complete bidding documents may be obtained from the office of Chief Engineer (MP&M) at NGC, 8 Floor Shaheen Complex, Egerton Road, Lahore, or by written application with payment of a non-refundable fee. Pre-bid meeting will be held on June 28, 2025 at 11:30 am at the same address in the presence of bidder representatives. Bids will be opened on July 1, 2026 at 11:30 am at the designated location.
