Description / Scope of Work
National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGC), formerly NTDC, invites sealed bids for Contract No. TLC-18(R)-2026 covering construction and completion of civil works, erection, stringing, testing and commissioning of a 500kV double circuit quad bundle transmission line using ACSR Bunting conductor. Lot-I comprises the 500kV transmission line from Tower No. 01 near Sangal to Tower No. 69 near Potha Sharif, spanning 23.5 kilometres in Punjab. The work includes detailed survey, sub-soil investigations, construction of tower conventional foundations, tower erection, conductor stringing by controlled tension method, and comprehensive testing and commissioning activities.
Bidders must be licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council in the appropriate category and meet specific experience requirements. The main contractor as a single entity, joint venture partner, or approved subcontractor must have substantially completed construction of either one 500kV or higher voltage transmission line or three 220kV or higher bundled transmission lines of at least 11.75 kilometres strung by controlled tension method during the last ten years, with such lines operating successfully for at least two years prior to bid submission. Each joint venture partner other than the lead partner must have completed 220kV or higher bundled transmission lines of at least 5.875 kilometres using controlled tension method. Bidders must possess or confirm access to tension and stringing equipment with associated tools and critical equipment in good working condition. All bids require a bid security in the format of a bank guarantee or deposit at call from a scheduled bank in Pakistan.
Bidding documents are available from the Chief Engineer (MP&M), NGC, 8th Floor Shaheen Complex, Egerton Road, Lahore, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 5000 Pakistani rupees by bank draft. The pre-bid meeting will be held on June 15, 2026 at 11:00 am. Sealed bids must be submitted on or before July 1, 2026 at 11:00 am at the same office, with bid opening scheduled for 11:30 am the same day.
