Description / Scope of Work
The U.S. Embassy Islamabad invites price quotations for comprehensive auction services to conduct a live bidding auction for the sale of Embassy property authorized for disposal. The auction will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the auctioneer's designated auction yard in Islamabad, Pakistan. The scope of services includes storage of auctionable property, advertisement, and conducting the complete auction process from June 29, 2026, through August 30, 2026. Property categories to be auctioned include household furniture, household appliances, miscellaneous information technology equipment, generators and fuel tanks, used tires and batteries, office and broken furniture, bedding and linen, used crockery items, miscellaneous metal scrap and junk, and soft-skin vehicles. The auctioneer must provide approximately 5,000 square feet of covered display space for furniture, appliances, and IT equipment, with additional open-space areas for miscellaneous items.
Bidders must submit both a lump sum price for the entire auction process and a percentage of total sale proceeds. The contractor will be paid whichever amount is less. Price quotations must remain valid for sixty days from submission and shall not be revised until delivery is made in accordance with the resultant purchase order. Embassy Warehouse staff will arrange auction lots and prepare itemized lists, requiring uninterrupted site access from June 29 through August 30, 2026. The auctioneer shall maintain accurate inventory records, not repair or modify any items, and ensure property is auctioned in original condition. All items shall be segregated into designated lots without discrimination based on condition or appearance.
Advertisements must be placed in print media in Sunday editions of Daily Jang, The News, Nawa-e-Waqat, and Daily Express across Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi with dimensions of 7 cm by 2 columns, with no indication that property belongs to the U.S. Embassy. The auctioneer shall provide cashier services, collect all cash payments, and remit total sale proceeds to the Embassy Cashier within 10 working days following the auction via a single pay order made payable to U.S. Embassy, Islamabad. Inspection is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026. Actionable items will be handed over on Monday, June 29, 2026, and auctioneers must thoroughly verify all lots before taking custody.
