Description / Scope of Work
This tender invites competitive bids for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a 117.12 kilowatt peak carport grid tied utility interactive photovoltaic solar power system at Staff Town IBA Karachi. The project is located in Karachi, Sindh province and represents a significant investment in renewable energy infrastructure for the institute. The tender is issued under reference CW/31/25-26 with a tender fee of Rs. 5,000 (non-refundable). Eligible bidders must possess appropriate technical qualifications, relevant experience in solar power system installation, and valid NTN and SRB/GST registration numbers. Interested contractors are required to submit a bid security as specified in the tender documents. The complete technical scope of works includes design optimization, supply of all photovoltaic modules and balance of system components, civil works for carport structure, electrical installation with grid interconnection facilities, system testing, and final commissioning with operational handover.
Bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue and possess relevant technical certifications for grid-tied solar systems. The bid security will be determined based on the evaluation criteria and must be submitted with the technical bid. All bidding documents including technical specifications, bill of quantities, performance schedules and commercial terms are available in the tender package. Bidders are required to provide evidence of past experience in similar utility-scale solar projects and demonstrate adequate financial and technical capacity to execute the work.
The tender documents can be obtained by submitting the tender fee and must be submitted by July 15, 2026 at 2:30 PM at the specified office of IBA Karachi. Bids will be opened at 3:00 PM on the same date. The evaluation will follow the two-envelope system with technical evaluation preceding financial evaluation.
