Description / Scope of Work
The Lahore Development Authority invites sealed bids for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a comprehensive street lighting system along the Main Boulevard from Ring Road Roundabout to Butcher Khana Canal Road in Lahore, Punjab. The project encompasses the installation of 200 octagonal-shaped electric street light poles standing 12 metres high, manufactured from 4.5mm thick hot-dipped galvanized steel with tappered design, complete with 1500mm arms for luminaire mounting and reinforced base plates. The estimated project cost is PKR 181,121,025 plus 5% PST, totalling PKR 190,177,076, with an earnest money deposit of PKR 9,508,854 required. The contract duration is three months from award. Additional works include road lighting pole foundations, integrated battery and charger controllers featuring 100-watt, 140 lumens per watt lithium battery systems with 800wH capacity, monocrystalline solar plates of 300 watts, and solar cylindrical wrap panels of 200 watts, along with refixing of existing street light poles.
Bidders must be registered contractors with relevant experience in street lighting installation projects. All materials supplied must be from approved manufacturers such as Longi, Jinko, or Canadian Solar for solar components, with testing certifications from government laboratories. Bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of PKR 9,508,854 as security for their bid. Complete technical specifications and compliance with standard engineering practices as approved by the Engineer in Charge are mandatory.
Interested contractors should obtain the bid documents in person from the LDA offices. Sealed bids must be submitted by the closing date of 8 July 2026. Bids will be opened on the same date as notified by the Authority. Detailed tender terms, specifications, and contact information for clarifications should be obtained from the office of the Chief Engineer-I, Lahore Development Authority. All work must be executed in accordance with the revised contract form for execution of work updated on 16 November 2022.
