Description / Scope of Work
The National Highway Authority (NHA) Punjab-South Region invites electronic bids from eligible contractors for 138 routine maintenance contracts covering various sections of National Highway N-5, N-5A, and N-70 in the Punjab-South region. The contracts span multiple sections with lengths ranging from 3 to 15 kilometres, covering both northbound and southbound lanes as well as emergency crossing works. The total procurement encompasses routine pavement maintenance, surface treatments, and preservation works across approximately 1,035 kilometres of national highways. The contracts are valued individually from approximately 1.2 million to 7.3 million Pakistani rupees, with a combined estimated project value exceeding 600 million rupees. Work sections extend from kilometre 0 to kilometre 1,035 on the N-5 corridor, specific sections on N-5A, and kilometre 0 to kilometre 60 on N-70.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue's Active Taxpayers List and hold valid registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council in category C-5 or above with specialization codes CE-01 and CE-10. Bidders must demonstrate compliance with income tax filing requirements and possess the technical capability and financial resources to undertake routine maintenance operations on national highways. Standard bid security and performance guarantees as per NHA's procurement regulations are required from successful bidders.
Bids are to be submitted electronically through the NHA's e-bidding portal and PPRA website in accordance with the detailed invitation notice.
