Description / Scope of Work
Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Company (PHDEC), a Section 42 company incorporated under the Companies Act 2017 and operating under the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), invites applications from eligible horticulture stakeholders for participation in its initiative titled Strengthening Pakistan's Horticulture Sector support for GlobalG.A.P., HACCP and ISO 22000 Certifications. The program covers three internationally recognized certification categories: GlobalG.A.P. Certification for growers and farmers ensuring Good Agricultural Practices for premium fresh produce exports; HACCP Certification for processors and exporters addressing Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points for food safety; and ISO 22000 Certification for processors and exporters implementing Food Safety Management Systems. These certifications are essential for meeting stringent Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) requirements, reducing non-tariff barriers, and gaining competitive advantage in high-value niche markets including the European Union, GCC countries, USA, and beyond. Certified stakeholders will benefit from enhanced market access, improved product quality perception, higher export prices, and stronger buyer confidence across Punjab and other provinces.
Eligible applicants must be registered horticulture growers, farmers, processors, or exporters operating in Pakistan. The certifications will be facilitated under a generous cost-sharing mechanism wherein PHDEC shall bear eighty percent (80%) of the total certification cost while the beneficiary stakeholder contributes the remaining twenty percent (20%). Applicants will be evaluated strictly in accordance with approved evaluation criteria and marking systems. Detailed evaluation forms and selection criteria are accessible through the official website www.phdec.gov.pk or by requesting via email at hamza.nasir@phdec.gov.pk.
