Description / Scope of Work
This invitation to bids is issued by Head Material Management under the Directorate of Technical Support for the disposal and purchase of scrap materials from registered Scrap Merchants and Recyclers. The tender covers the disposal of large transformers including three separate lots: transformers rated 132kV/33kV with 30 ton capacity, 132kV/11kV with 25 ton capacity, and 230kV/150V with 28 ton capacity. The bidding document is available for collection from the Head Material Management office located near Javed Bahria Housing Society opposite HASOOL Fuel Pump in Karachi between 0830 and 1600 hours on working days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Bidders must be registered with the sales tax department for disposal and purchase of items as per specified requirements.
Participation in this sealed-bid procurement requires that all bidders possess valid National Tax Numbers and Trade Certificates. Documentary evidence of National Tax No. and Trade Certificate must be attached to the bid envelope along with separate sealed envelopes containing quotations. Government prescribed taxes including Advance Income Tax and GST will be applied as per applicable rules and policies. The tender will be awarded on the basis of highest rate quotation for purchase of scrap transformers. Bid security must be provided in the form of Pay Order or Bank Draft drawn in favor of Directorate of Technical Support, with bank guarantee not required for tender document purchase.
The bidding document cost is Rs. 1000 (non-refundable) payable via Bank Draft. Multiple quotations should be submitted in separate envelopes addressed to Head Material Management. Bid opening will occur on the date specified unless a holiday falls on that date, in which case opening will be held on the next working day. No documents will be sold on the bid opening date itself. All persons participating in bid opening must bring their original National Identity Cards.
