Excavation of Rock Salt from Tunnel No. 5 at PMDC Salt Mines Khewra

Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation invites electronic bids from interested contractors and parties registered with the Income Tax Department and Punjab Revenue Authority for excavation of rock salt from Tunnel No. 5 at PMDC Salt Mines Khewra. The contract is for a three-year period with an estimated annual quantity of 24,000 metric tons per month (2,000 metric tons monthly), focusing on excavation of good quality rock salt and fragmentation of boulders that can be loaded in tractor trolleys. The work is located in Khewra, Federal province, and represents a significant mineral extraction opportunity in Pakistan's salt mining sector.

Bidders must be registered with Sales Tax and Income Tax Departments and the Federal Board of Revenue, and must be active taxpayers on the taxpayers list. A bid security of Rs. 500,000 in the form of a pay order or demand draft made in the name of Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation is required. The bid money must accompany the tender submission. Tenders without bid security or with improper documentation will not be considered. Bidders must fill in all rates as specified or their bids will be treated as incomplete and liable to rejection.

Electronic bids must be submitted via the EPADS-PPRA portal at https://eprocure.gov.pk on or before 17th July 2026 at 11:00 AM, with tender opening scheduled for the same day at 11:30 AM in the presence of interested participants.
