Description / Scope of Work
The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) Karachi invites sealed bids for the supply and installation of surgical headlights or lead lamps under Single Stage–ONE Envelope Procedure as per Rule 46(1) of Sindh Public Procurement Rules 2010 (Amended 2019). The tender, referenced as NIT No. NICVD/TN/Khi/No.001/26-27 and Tender no. 05I-2026, is issued to procure essential surgical lighting equipment for the Institute's cardiac care operations in Karachi, Sindh. The bidding documents comprise 35 pages and detail the complete scope of supply and installation requirements for these critical medical devices used in surgical procedures.
Eligible bidders must be manufacturers, importers, or duly authorized distributors who can provide an undertaking to supply items within 30 days for local items or 90 days for C&F basis items. Bidders must not have been associated with consulting firms that prepared the design specifications for this procurement. Bidders are required to submit samples three days before tender opening (except for items already in use at NICVD), a guarantee certificate confirming new items, last year's paid income tax certificate, proof of sales tax registration, custom duties and tax payment proofs, and a printed price list from manufacturers indicating trade and retail prices. All goods must originate from eligible source countries as defined in SPP Rules 2010 (Amended 2019), and prices quoted cannot be changed during the fiscal year.
Bidding documents are available for sale from 10 July 2026 to 28 July 2026 at 11:00 a.m., and all bids must be submitted electronically through ePADS SPPRA, for which prior registration is mandatory. Bidders must submit their bids using the provided sample tender proforma, quoting items as per serial numbers with detailed specifications, manufacturer details, and country of origin. All procurement is conducted under Sindh government rules, and the successful bidder must ensure delivery at NICVD premises at supplier's risk and cost with full compliance to terms and conditions specified in the tender document.
