Description / Scope of Work
Accelerate Prosperity, a joint initiative of the Aga Khan Foundation and Industrial Promotion Services, seeks to procure a Consultant for Investment Support Fellow position under the Start-up Pakistan project financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development through KfW. This is a 6-month hybrid contract available in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, and Gilgit, with flexibility for remote work and travel as needed. The Investment Fellow will support the Investment Team in deal sourcing, screening businesses, providing investment readiness advisory, conducting due diligence evaluations, and managing post-investment monitoring and support for startups and small growing businesses across education, health, tourism, and green economy sectors.
Applicants must possess a minimum bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business, with relevant professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA, or FMVA being preferable. A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in investments, investment advisory, due diligence, or transaction advisory is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong financial modelling skills, technical knowledge of the investment cycle, experience with SME and business development projects, and proficiency in MS Office applications. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Urdu, strong presentation abilities, problem-solving expertise, and the capacity to work under pressure with multitasking capability are essential soft skills for this role.
