Description / Scope of Work
The Sub Jail Khar Bajaur and Internment Center Bajaur in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa invites sealed tenders for the supply of cooked food items, miscellaneous articles, and medicines for the financial year 2026-27. The scope of work encompasses provision of cooked meals for both lunch and dinner according to prescribed scales, tea with paratha, special dishes for religious occasions including Ramzan Sharif meals and dates, dietary supplements for special national occasions such as Independence Day and Eid celebrations, and packed milk for suckling babies and sick prisoners. The contract value is estimated at Rs. 30,000,000 with a performance guarantee requirement of 5% of the tendered amount. Tender documents are available on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (KPPRA) portal at https://kp.eprocure.gov.pk and the Department of Prisons website at https://prisons.kp.gov.pk, with submission deadline of 3 August 2026 at 10:30 AM local time.
Eligible vendors must be registered with KPPRA and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Tenderers are required to provide original company registration documents, tax clearance certificates, and proof of previous relevant experience in food supply or medicines provision to government institutions. Bidders must submit competitive rates for all thirty-eight listed items including contingency articles such as soaps, oils, lighting equipment, hygiene products, and maintenance supplies. A rebate percentage on medicine supplies must be clearly specified in the tender submission.
Bid documents may be downloaded from the KPPRA e-procurement platform or obtained from the Sub Jail office during working hours. Sealed tenders must be submitted to the Office of the Superintendent, Sub Jail/Internment Center Khar Bajaur, before the closing deadline. Tenders will be opened on the same day at 11:00 AM in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives.
