Description / Scope of Work
The Project Management Unit of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) is issuing a comprehensive procurement plan for the financial year 2026-27 covering grid station material, transmission line equipment, and spare parts for panels and power transformers. The total estimated procurement value spans multiple items including 200 KVA auxiliary transformers, 132 KV and 145 KV circuit breakers with allied accessories, capacitor control panels, 11 KV incoming and outgoing panels, bus couplers, insulators, power cables, steel poles, rail conductors, AAAC Greeley conductors, and various accessories and spare parts. The project is located in the Federal territory and encompasses comprehensive electrical infrastructure development for enhanced power distribution and transmission capabilities. Most procurements follow Open Competitive Bidding methodology with tentative procurement dates in July and August 2026, contract award dates in September and October 2026, and completion targeted for March 2027. A limited number of items such as trolleys for 11 KV panels and vacuum bottle incoming panels are being procured through Direct Contracting method C(i).
Eligibility criteria require qualified vendors with demonstrated experience in supply and installation of high-voltage electrical equipment and materials. Bidders must possess valid registration with relevant professional bodies and necessary technical certifications. Bid security requirements and detailed specifications for each item category are outlined in the tender documents. Vendors must comply with national standards and international quality benchmarks for electrical components including transformers, circuit breakers, cables, insulators, and tower structures.
Bid documents can be obtained from the PMU office during office hours with complete tender specifications, bills of quantities, and technical requirements.
