Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Thalassaemia and other Genetic Disorders Prevention and Research Institute (PTGD), an initiative of the Government of Punjab, invites sealed bids for the purchase of instruments and general items required for DNA, Hematology Laboratory, and Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS) facilities for the fiscal year 2026-27. The tender covers specialized laboratory equipment and consumables needed to support genetic disorder prevention and research activities. The estimated cost of procurement is PKR 1.260 million. Bids are invited from well-reputed firms, distributors, retailers, authorized agents, original manufacturers, and sole agents or importers of foreign manufacturers in Pakistan. All bidders must be registered with relevant authorities and tax departments. The procurement will be conducted through Punjab e-Procurement System (EPADS) in accordance with Punjab Procurement Rules 2014 (amended), with delivery on a free-to-consignee basis.
Eligible bidders must possess sound financial position and demonstrated experience in supplying chemicals, consumables, and instruments used in DNA and Hematology laboratories. A bid security equivalent to 2 percent of the estimated amount for each item must be submitted in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) in favor of the Director General, PTGD. A performance guarantee of 5 percent of the contract value will be required from the successful bidder. All bidders must provide a current Certificate of Authorization from the relevant manufacturer or principal. Affidavits on stamp paper are mandatory, confirming that the firm is not blacklisted by PTGD or PPRA and that all furnished documents and information are true and correct.
Bidding documents are available from the Administration Department, PTGD, 1st Floor, Outdoor Building, Gate No. 5, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore, or can be downloaded from the PPRA website at www.ppra.punjab.gov.pk. Sealed bids comprising separately marked Technical Proposal and Financial Proposal envelopes must be submitted online through Punjab e-Procurement System (https://punjab.eprocure.gov.pk) before 11:00 AM on 28 July 2026. Technical bid opening will occur on the same date at 11:30 AM. The date, time, and place of financial proposal opening will be communicated separately to technically qualified bidders.
