Description / Scope of Work
The Strategic Management Unit of the School Education Department, Government of the Punjab invites applications for prequalification from established firms, companies, organizations, manufacturers and supplier firms to participate in the Chief Minister Punjab Schools Meal Program for primary schools. The program encompasses the supply of packed safe food items including plain milk UHT and fortified biscuits to approximately 864,105 students across 7,294 standalone primary schools in 13 districts namely Bahawalnagar, Bhakkar, Chiniot, D.G. Khan, Kot Addu, Layyah, Lodhran, Mianwali, Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur, Taunsa and Vehari throughout Punjab province. This initiative is designed to optimize nutritional needs of children during school time and days while enhancing academic and health outcomes.
Eligibility criteria require applicants to be relevant and established in their respective fields. Joint ventures and partnerships are permissible. The procurement process will strictly follow Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Rules 2014 as amended, specifically utilizing the prequalification process outlined in PPRA Rule 16 and Rule 17. Prospective bidders must submit complete organizational profiles, eligibility response checklists and experience profiles as specified in the annexures provided.
Applications must be submitted in accordance with instructions provided in the prequalification document. The Strategic Management Unit will conduct the selection process on behalf of District Education Authorities (DEAs), who will be responsible for contracting, issuing purchase orders, quality control, vendor payments and ensuring compliance with nutrition and safety standards.
