MES is prequalifying contractors for 25 term contracts across five work categories at Gwa, Punjab: misc.
repairs/maintenance, decorative works, building works, internal electrification, and water/gas installations. Each contract valued ~Rs4m; total portfolio likely Rs100m+. This is a multi-year term contracting framework rather than single projects—implies stable recurring work if prequalified. Two-stage process (prequalification by 29 July, sealed tender by 12 August) compresses timeline significantly. Typical for military infrastructure, expect rigorous vetting and compliance demands.
Who can bid: Bidders must hold active PEC registration (Category A–E) with relevant experience in assigned work type. Non-litigation certificate and clearance of special reports mandatory. Typically, NTN and SECP registration also required for financial credibility, though not explicitly stated here. Restrictions: any pending government disputes disqualify.
