For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT
Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.
This is a specialized, single-item procurement for insulating transformer oil, a recurring maintenance input for power transformers rather than a large civil works contract. Given the bid security of over Rs. 3.1 million, the expected contract value is likely substantial, favoring established oil suppliers or distributors with import/FOB handling capacity. The FOB basis requirement suggests bidders need international sourcing or agency arrangements with Nynas, limiting the field to specialized industrial suppliers rather than general contractors.
Who can bid: Bidders must be bonafide manufacturers, authorized distributors, suppliers or contractors registered with Income Tax and Sales Tax departments and listed on FBR's Active Taxpayers List (ATL). No PEC registration is mentioned as this is a supply contract, not construction; typically, prior experience supplying transformer oil or authorization from Nynas would strengthen a bid.
