Description / Scope of Work

A public notice invites general bidders to participate in an open auction of standing fodder crops, specifically Munji (mung) and Bajra (millet), grown on approximately 500 kanal (44 acres) of farm land at Farm No. 1509, Zarai University campus, Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab. The auction will be conducted on 12 August 2026 at 10:30 AM at the university farm premises. This is a seasonal crop disposal auction aimed at selling the standing harvest to the highest bidder through open competitive bidding on site.

Bidders wishing to participate must bring an original copy of their CNIC before bidding is allowed. All participants are required to deposit an earnest money of Rs. 15,000 as a refundable security along with an additional non-refundable fee of Rs. 500, both payable via bank draft or pay order in favor of the Action Committee. The successful bidder must deposit the entire bid amount into the government treasury and pay one-third of the total bid value on the spot at the time of auction, with the remaining balance payable after tax deductions and approval from the authorized officer.

Once all dues and taxes are cleared, the successful bidder will be permitted to harvest the crop within 20 days. The auction and harvesting will proceed based on the condition of the standing crop at the time, meaning the quantity and quality actually harvestable will determine the crop given. The auctioning authority reserves full right to cancel or reject any bid, and any dispute will be referred to the Vice Chancellor's office for final decision, which will not be challengeable in any court of law. In case the auction on 12 August 2026 does not proceed, a re-auction is scheduled for 17 August 2026 at 10:30 AM, and if that also fails, a further re-auction will be held on 24 August 2026 at 10:30 AM, all at the same venue.

For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT

Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.

This is a small-scale seasonal auction for standing fodder crops (Munji and Bajra) on about 44 acres of university farmland, suited to local agricultural traders, farmers or fodder dealers rather than large contractors. The tight 20-day harvesting window after payment clearance means bidders need ready logistics and labor for quick crop removal. The built-in re-auction dates on 17 and 24 August suggest the university anticipates possible bidder shortfall, which could favor cautious bidders willing to wait for better terms in later rounds.

Who can bid: Eligibility is open to the general public with a valid CNIC; no formal registration, PEC category or professional license is mentioned. Bidders must submit refundable and non-refundable earnest money as stated. Typically, for agricultural produce auctions such as this, only basic identity verification and earnest money deposit are required, with no specialized contractor licensing needed.
