Description / Scope of Work
The Manager Mechanical Transport, NSSD West Wharf Road Karachi, Pakistan Navy, invites sealed quotations from GST-registered firms for the supply of tyres and batteries for naval vehicles. The tender covers 49 different tyre sizes ranging from 450x12 to 2100 R25, suitable for light vehicles, jeeps, trucks and tractors, as well as 27 battery specifications from 12V 2.5AH to 72V 200AH capacity, including lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4) variants. The procurement is issued under reference SS/MT/ST/PPRA/NSSD and will be sourced to firms registered with the Ministry of Defence Production and Pakistan Navy. This is a broad-based supply contract for maintenance and operational support of the naval vehicle fleet.
Eligibility is restricted to firms registered with the Ministry of Defence Production or Pakistan Navy and holding valid GST registration. Bidders must be reputed suppliers with demonstrated capacity to supply quality tyres and batteries meeting the specified parameters. A tender document fee of Rs. 500/- must accompany each quotation, submitted as a crossed cheque or pay order drawn in favour of the Yard Service Improvement Fund, in compliance with Rules 16(2) and 23(5) of the Public Procurement Rules 2004. Offers must remain valid for a minimum of 90 days from the date of bid opening.
Quotations must be submitted in sealed form to the Manager Mechanical Transport, MTRO, NSSD West Wharf Road Karachi, no later than 10 August 2026 at 12:00 PM, with bid opening scheduled for 12:30 PM the same day in the presence of interested bidders. Tender documents are available for collection against payment of the Rs. 500/- fee from MTRO during working hours, excluding Sundays, Saturdays and public holidays. Evaluation will be based on quality and authenticity of spare parts, competitive pricing, and minimum delivery lead time.
