Description / Scope of Work

Pakistan Navy's Local Purchase Division invites tenders for the procurement of timber sleepers, timber lumber, polyester boat lifting belts, and engine parts required for naval operations in Sindh Province. The tender encompasses multiple items including Kail wood sleepers Grade-A locally sourced, Gurjan Grade-I timber (red pine) seasoned lumber, and polyester boat lifting belts with 20,000 kg load capacity manufactured by Yonca Turkey. The tender bulletin indicates scope across 75 pages of specifications with quantities measured in cubic feet and individual units. This is a local purchase tender open to both registered and unregistered firms operating in Pakistan.

All participating firms must submit tender fees of Rs 500 per quotation via bank draft, pay order, crossed cheque, or online transfer to the PN Nonpublic Fund LP Division IT Fund Account (PK04 MEZN 0001 7001 0321 0586). Unregistered firms are additionally required to furnish a bid guarantee of five percent of the purchase order value in the form of a pay order or bank draft valid for six months, or alternatively obtain registration with HQ Comlog to avoid this requirement by contacting SO Contract on 021-48506138. Lab testing charges, if applicable, shall be borne by the supplying firm.

Bid documents are available from the Local Purchase Division, Pakistan Navy, and tenders will be opened on 05 August 2026. Standard delivery times are 15 days for locally available items and 45 days for imported items. Prospective bidders may contact the division for clarifications through telephone at 021-48508524 or 48508828, via email at clp@paknavy.gov.pk or localpurchasedivision@gmail.com, or via WhatsApp at 92-322-0188121 (message only).

For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT

Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.

Pakistan Navy is procuring timber (kail wood sleepers, gurjan lumber), polyester boat lifting belts, and engine parts across a 75-page tender bulletin. Scale appears medium to large given the diverse item range and specifications depth. Non-registered firms face additional 5% bid security requirement unless they register with HQ Comlog beforehand—a potential cost lever. Delivery windows of 15–45 days are standard but tight for imported components. This appears a one-off procurement rather than recurring framework, requiring capability in timber sourcing, marine lifting equipment, and mechanical components.

Who can bid: Both registered and unregistered firms in Pakistan may bid. Unregistered firms must post 5% bid security or obtain registration with HQ Comlog to proceed. Typically, suppliers of timber and marine equipment should hold valid trade licenses, NTN registration with Federal Board of Revenue, and relevant quality certifications for materials and lifting equipment meeting naval specifications.
