Description / Scope of Work
Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) invites sealed bids for the maintenance of chlorination stations installed at 16 intermittent pumping stations across Sindh province. The estimated project cost is PKR 13,913,780 with a budget allocation of PKR 15,000,000 for the financial year 2026-27. The scope encompasses routine inspection, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting of chlorination equipment and associated systems, submission of periodic performance reports, provision of qualified technical staff at all sites, compliance with WHO Guidelines and National Drinking Water Quality Standards, emergency response for chlorine leakage, and housekeeping of chlorination facilities. The contract period is twelve months, extendable subject to satisfactory performance.
Eligible bidders must hold a valid PEC license for 2026 in Category C-6 or above with specialization codes EE-02, EE-03, EE-04, ME-04, or ME-06. Applicants require valid income tax and GST registration from FBR, registration with Sindh Board of Revenue, and certification as an Original Equipment Manufacturer or authorized agent or E&M maintenance expert. Bidders must demonstrate at least one similar project costing 80 percent of the estimated cost or two projects at 50 percent thereof, plus three years of documented experience in chlorination systems and water treatment operations. Financial audit reports for five years and income tax returns for three years must be submitted, showing average annual turnover not less than the estimated cost. Bid security of 2 percent of the offer rate is required as a pay order from any scheduled Pakistani bank.
Bidding documents are available for download from the EPADS portal of SPPRA Sindh at http://portalsindh.eprocurement.gov.pk. Bids must be uploaded on the EPADS website from the hoisting date through 25 August 2026 at 4:00 PM. Opening of downloaded bids will occur on 25 August 2026 at 4:30 PM at the office of the Accounts Officer (Zone-II), Room 12-A, First Floor, Block C, 9th Mile Karsaz, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi. Non-refundable tender cost of PKR 10,000 payable to Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation must be submitted before announcement. The successful contractor will furnish a performance security equivalent to 10 percent of the contract value.
