Description / Scope of Work
Additional Chief Engineer 5 Corps, located at 19 Liaquat Barracks Karachi, invites applications for pre-qualification of firms and contractors for repair and maintenance works. The scope includes repair and maintenance of Building Numbers 195, 196, 199, 200 (Trainees SM Barracks, 128-bed accommodation) and Lavatory Block Building Number 179 at Ordnance Centre, Military Installation Karachi, Sindh. The approximate cost of works is Rs. 11.006 million. This procurement is conducted in accordance with clauses 13, 15, 16 and 28 of the PPRA Rules 2004 within the Area of Responsibility of ACE 5 Corps.
Eligible bidders must provide MES Enlistment Certificates (Categories A to D), valid PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council) registration up to 30 June 2027, and an active Income Tax Registration Certificate. Applicants are required to furnish a detailed list of completed and ongoing works executed during the last two years, including project names, executing agency, work amounts, time allowed, commencement and completion dates, percentage progress of works in hand, and departmental performance certificates from the Engineer in Charge. Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
Bid documents will be issued to pre-qualified firms and contractors. Sealed tenders must be received by the Additional Chief Engineer 5 Corps by 12 October 2026 at 1130 hours and will be publicly opened at 1200 hours on the same date. Interested bidders may attend the tender opening. The accepting officer reserves the right to accept or reject any tender in accordance with PPRA Rules 2004 Para-33.
