Description / Scope of Work
The Special Protection Unit (SPU) of Gilgit-Baltistan invites sealed bids for repair, maintenance and supply of spare parts for government vehicles (four and two-wheelers) under its disposal for the financial year 2026-2027. This re-tender follows the unsuccessful conclusion of a previous tender process on 12 August 2026 where all participating bidders failed technical evaluation. The tender is conducted in accordance with Gilgit Baltistan Public Procurement Rules (GB PPRA) 2022 and seeks well-reputed, financially sound firms with prior experience and valid registration with Sales Tax and Income Tax departments. The procurement is located in Gilgit, Gilgit-Baltistan, and covers vehicle maintenance services and component supply on an annual basis.
Eligible bidders must be registered with relevant tax authorities and possess demonstrated experience in vehicle repair and maintenance services. Bidders are required to submit a Call Deposit as bid security of Rs. 500,000 (Rupees Five Lac only) from a scheduled bank in the name of the SP SPU GB. Bids without the required bid security will be rejected outright. The bidding process follows a Single Stage Two Envelope Procedure, with technical and financial proposals submitted separately. Bidding documents cost Rs. 6,000 and must be collected in person from the SPU office in Sakwar, Gilgit, during working hours on written request.
Bids must be submitted in sealed form addressed to the SP SPU GB and received by 12:00 PM on 07 September 2026, with opening scheduled for 12:30 hours the same day at SPU office Sakwar Gilgit. Technical proposals will be evaluated first, with financial bids opened only for technically qualified bidders. The technically qualified lowest bidder will be accepted. Tender documents are available on the PPRA website (www.ppra.gov.pk). In case of public holidays, submission and opening dates will be deferred to the next working day.
