Description / Scope of Work
Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), under the Government of Pakistan, invites sealed quotations for the procurement of a Probe for Ultrasound Machine for supply to POF Hospital Wah Cantt. This is a therapeutic goods / pharmaceuticals procurement advertised under Tender Enquiry Reference 0024/HOSP/LP/56/PROBE FOR ULTRA dated 10 August 2026. The procurement is conducted through a two-envelope single-stage bidding process with separate technical and commercial offers. Quotations must be submitted both electronically via www.ebidding.pof.gov.pk and in hard copy form (sealed envelopes) at the Bid Centre adjacent to Rabita Hall, POF Wah Cantt, before 30 minutes prior to the opening time of 10:00 hours on 8 September 2026.
Eligibility is open to registered and unregistered firms, including foreign suppliers. Registered indexed firms must provide bid money equivalent to 2% of the quoted value (maximum Rs. 0.50 million), while unregistered firms must provide 5% (maximum Rs. 1.00 million). All bids must be accompanied by a non-refundable tender fee of Rs. 500/- via crossed postal order or pay order in favour of Director Admin POF Wah Cantt. Successful bidders must furnish an unconditional Performance Bond of 10% of the contract amount within 7 working days of Letter of Intent issuance. Offers must include technical details, brochures, validity date, delivery schedule, and commercial terms including price, terms of payment, and mode of supply. Conditional or alternative offers will be ignored.
Technical quotations must remain valid for at least 90 days from tender opening. Quotations should be based on F.O.R. station of despatch (delivered free on rail, inclusive of packing and forwarding) or free delivery at POF Hospital Wah Cantt with Octroi duty payable by the supplier. Taxes and duties must be shown separately with relevant registration and authority references. Suppliers must provide a certificate from the Excise & Taxation Department confirming clearance of all Professional Tax payable. Supplies will be subject to inspection and acceptance by the purchaser's competent inspection authority. Information on hazardous effects on the environment must accompany the quotation and shipping documents.
