For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT
Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.
University of Layyah is procuring five categories of furniture and electrical equipment totalling Rs.
24.8 million through lot-wise bidding. The scope spans wooden furniture for students, office furnishings, electrical appliances and IT equipment. Bidders can bid selectively on individual lots. The 30-minute gap between submission (11:00 AM) and opening (11:30 AM) on the same day is notably tight and requires flawless online submission. This appears a straightforward one-off institutional procurement rather than a framework arrangement. Bid security requirements are proportionate to lot values.
Who can bid: Bidders must be firms, companies or sole proprietors registered with relevant authorities. Tax registration (Income Tax, Sales Tax, Punjab Sales Tax) is mandatory. The notice requires registration with relevant Registration Authorities and Tax Departments but does not specify PEC or other professional licensing. Typically, furniture and electrical suppliers require active GST and NTN registration to bid on government contracts.
