Description / Scope of Work
National Insurance Company Limited, a government-owned entity, invites applications for prequalification and enlistment on a panel of professional workshops to provide repair and maintenance services for official vehicles across Pakistan. The scope encompasses comprehensive automotive services including body and accidental repair work, mechanical and electrical repairs, denting and painting, engine and ABS diagnostics, genuine spare parts supply and installation, wheel alignment, balancing, suspension work, towing facilities, and car detailing. Applications are invited from workshops located in Karachi, Hyderabad, Quetta, Lahore, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and Muzaffarabad in Sindh and other provinces. Workshops will service both NICL's own fleet vehicles and motor insurance claim vehicles of NICL clients. Applicants must specify their operational cities in the workshop details form and undergo physical inspection and document verification by NICL.
Eligibility requires workshops to be established in at least one of the specified cities with ownership or tenancy proof, possess at least three years of prior experience with valid NTN or registration certificate, demonstrate completion of at least three repair and maintenance projects for non-NICL clients in Pakistan within the past three years, not appear on PPRA's Active Blacklisted Firms list, maintain active taxpayer status with Federal or Provincial Tax Authority as applicable, and accept all NICL requirements. Bidders must attach ownership documents or tenancy agreements with recent utility bills, work orders or purchase orders from previous clients, and signed copies of bidding documents.
Applications must be submitted as per the schedule detailed in the notice. NICL reserves the right to conduct physical inspection of workshop facilities, verify documents and client references, and seek additional information as required. The prequalification panel will be used for award of repair and maintenance work on a need-basis as NICL requires such services. All shortlisted workshops will be responsible for providing high-quality repair and maintenance services meeting NICL's standards and timelines across the specified operational locations.

NICL is establishing a prequalified panel of automotive repair workshops across eight major Pakistani cities to handle fleet maintenance and insurance claim vehicle repairs on need-basis.
This is a framework arrangement, not a one-off contract, so successful prequalification could generate recurring work. Eligibility is strict: three years operating history, three past projects for clients other than NICL, active taxpayer status, and no blacklist record are mandatory. Physical site inspection is required. The scope is broad (body repair, mechanical, electrical, diagnostics, parts supply), suggesting preference for full-service facilities. Geographic coverage spans Sindh and major cities nationwide.
Who can bid: Workshops must be registered and operational in one of eight specified cities, possess at least three years experience, demonstrate three completed repair projects for third-party clients, maintain active taxpayer status with Federal or Provincial Tax Authority, not be blacklisted with PPRA, and hold valid NTN or registration certificate. Typically, such work also requires compliance with NICL's quality and safety standards, though details are in the bid documents.
