For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT
Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.
PNSC is procuring IT equipment (firewalls, network switches, computers, laptops) for vessel fleets and head office in Karachi—a medium-scale procurement under federal budget.
Bidders must be ePADS-registered; the tender uses least-cost selection. Deadline is tight (approximately 3 weeks from August 21). The maritime context suggests equipment must meet shipping industry standards and potentially marine-grade specifications; clarify whether vessel equipment requires specialized certifications for offshore/marine environments before bidding.
Who can bid: Bidders must be registered on ePADS v2.0 to participate. The notice does not state specific PEC category or other regulatory registration requirements; typically, IT equipment suppliers require SECP registration, valid NTN, and proof of business standing. Vendors should verify whether they must hold relevant manufacturer authorisations or reseller certifications for the specific firewall and network device brands specified in the detailed procurement documents.
