Description / Scope of Work
The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Forests Department invites sealed tenders from registered Class A and B timber contractors for the supply and transit of dry standing and fallen timber from four designated forest compartments in Azad Kashmir during the 2026–27 financial year. The tender covers timber marking, extraction, and delivery, with total estimated quantities spanning 587,082 to 267,949 cubic feet across four compartments located in Muzaffarabad and Sharda divisions. Contracts are to be executed under a three-year tenure agreement with staged extraction schedules. The department seeks competitive bids for both raw timber extraction and prepared green timber transit from forest depots to final destination points.
Bidders must be registered with the Azad Kashmir Forest Department as Class A or B contractors and hold valid documentation of machinery ownership. A call deposit equal to 20 percent of the tender value must be submitted with the bid as security, callable from any bank and bearing the bidder's name; tenders without this deposit will be rejected. Successful bidders will be required to provide a performance bank guarantee of up to 10 percent of the contract value under PPRA Rule 39, if deemed necessary, prior to contract execution. Bidders holding timber marking exceeding one lakh cubic feet must present two 4×4 trucks; those with 50,000 to 100,000 cubic feet must present one 4×4 truck. Original vehicle documents with certified excerpts from the District Excise office proving ownership are mandatory.
Bid documents will be available from the Forests Department office, Muzaffarabad upon submission of a written application by 7 September 2026. Sealed tenders must be received at the department office by 2:00 PM on 8 September 2026 and will be opened at 2:30 PM the same day in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives. All project costs, including loading, unloading, and transit, must be included in separate bid forms for marked and prepared timber.
