Description / Scope of Work
PHQ Teaching Hospital Gilgit, under the Government of Gilgit Baltistan, invites sealed tenders from well-reputed, licensed and registered firms, distributors, dealers, manufacturers, pharmacies and service providers for the local purchase of medicine and surgical items under the Prime Minister Sehat Sahulat Program (SSP) for the financial year 2026-27. The tender covers supply of pharmaceuticals and surgical consumables valued at one million rupees. The scope encompasses procurement for hospital operations across Gilgit Baltistan region, with the successful bidder required to establish and maintain a medicine dispensing facility within or near the hospital premises.
Eligibility is restricted to registered firms holding valid licenses and registrations from relevant authorities. Bidders must provide proof of purchase of bidding documents via treasury challan at the pre-bid meeting scheduled for 34 September 2026 at 11:00 AM. Bid security in the form of a CDR from a scheduled bank must accompany all offers. Only firms participating in the pre-bid meeting retain the right to raise objections; absentees forfeit all claims regarding bidding clarifications. An original affidavit confirming non-blacklisting and absence of litigation against the firm is mandatory. The successful bidder must furnish a performance security equal to ten percent of the estimated contract value within the prescribed period following issuance of the Letter of Acceptance.
Bid documents are available from the Medical Superintendent's office during duty hours on written request accompanied by the treasury challan of tender document fee as per finance directives 2025-26. Sealed bids must be submitted by 15 September 2026 at 11:00 AM and will be opened on the same date at 11:30 AM at PHQ Teaching Hospital Gilgit. Quotations must be submitted on firm letterhead, computerized, duly signed and stamped, and free from cutting, overwriting or erasing. The procuring agency reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in accordance with applicable procurement rules.
