Description / Scope of Work
The Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development Khairpur Mirs, located in Khairpur Mirs, Sindh, is inviting competitive bids for the procurement of advanced laser welding laboratory equipment for the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology. This tender reference BBS-UTECH/PPO/17 covers the supply and installation of specialized welding equipment to establish or upgrade the university's laser welding capabilities. The scope includes multiple items of precision laboratory equipment with a tender fee of PKR 3,000 and an earnest money requirement of 5 percent of the quoted bid value. The project is scheduled for completion within three months from the contract award date.
Eligible bidders must demonstrate at least three years of relevant experience in supplying similar services to universities or large organizations. Contractors and firms must possess valid registration with the Federal Board of Revenue for income tax and sales tax purposes, as well as registration with the Sindh Revenue Board for works and services. Bidders must not be blacklisted by any procuring agency, though previously blacklisted firms with current de-listed status may participate. The average annual financial turnover during the preceding three years must not be less than three times the amount of the quoted bid. A bid bond in the form of a call deposit or pay order from a scheduled Pakistani bank must accompany the technical proposal.
Bid documents are available from 21 August 2026 to 07 September 2026. Bids must be submitted on EPADS (the electronic procurement platform) by 07 September 2026 at 10:00 a.m., with the original tender fee and earnest money reaching the procuring agency in a sealed envelope before the submission deadline. Technical bids will be opened the same day at 11:00 a.m. by the Procurement Committee, followed by financial bid evaluation for technically qualified firms.
