Description / Scope of Work
The Vegetable Research Institute, Faisalabad, operating under the ADP Project titled Transformation of Agriculture in Pothohar and District Khushab (Ginger Component), invites bids for provision of labour services through the Punjab e-Procurement System on a rate basis. The procurement encompasses two service categories: skilled labour for media preparation, tissue culture of ginger plantlets, seed multiplication and field trials (three persons per month) at an estimated cost of 3.5 million rupees, and unskilled labour for washing laboratory utensils, hardening of tissue culture plants and all field operations (twenty persons per month). Services will be required across Faisalabad, Pothohar and District Khushab regions in Punjab province. Total bid security of 175,000 rupees is required through the e-Procurement System.
Intending bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue for Income Tax, Provincial Sales Tax and Sales Tax purposes, demonstrating established financial and managerial capabilities. Bid security is refundable and must be submitted exclusively through the e-Procurement System; bids lacking this security will face automatic rejection. Single Stage One Envelope bidding procedure will be followed under PPRA Rules 38. Firms must furnish an affidavit valued at 100 rupees confirming non-involvement in litigation, blacklisting or disqualification. All quoted rates must be inclusive of prevailing taxes including income tax, provincial sales tax and sales tax as per government regulations.
Bids must be uploaded on the Punjab e-Procurement System on or before 3 September 2026 by 2:00 PM, with opening scheduled for 2:30 PM the same day in the presence of bidders or representatives at the office of the Chairman Purchase Committee.
