Description / Scope of Work
National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) invites sealed bids for the supply of consumable items and equipment for the BS Nursing and AHS programmes at NUMS–KHINAMS, located in Chak Shahzad, Islamabad. The procurement is being conducted under a single stage two envelopes bidding procedure, with detailed specifications provided in Annex-A. The selected vendor will be responsible for supplying the required items in accordance with provided specifications and installing equipment at designated locations. Both technical and financial proposals must be submitted in separate sealed envelopes placed within a single outer envelope. Initial technical evaluation will determine qualified bidders, after which financial proposals of qualifying firms will be opened at a date to be communicated subsequently.
Eligible applicants must hold active certificates of registration including NTN, GST or Professional Tax with the Federal Board of Revenue, company incorporation certificates, and any relevant works permits. Bidders must maintain a company bank account and submit bid security at 2% of the total tender amount in the form of demand draft, pay order, or CDR in favor of NUMS (NTN # 9010197-0). The bidder or equipment manufacturer must have been in the business of supplying and installing the same equipment or items for at least two years. All bidding documents must be completed in full, with bids calculated in Pakistani Rupees only. Firms are required to declare the make, model, country of origin, and warranty period of all items and equipment. For imported or high-end equipment, mandatory submission of OEM certificates, CE Mark or ISO certificates, certificates of origin, quality assurance documentation, and performance guarantees at contract time is required.
Sealed bids prepared according to instructions to bidders must reach NUMS on or before Friday, 11th September 2026 by 0930 hours. Physical submission is mandatory; documents sent via email or fax will not be accepted. The tender opening will take place publicly on the same day at or after 1000 hours at the Conference Room, NUMS (ATR), Adiyala Road (opposite APS Humayun Road), Rawalpindi, in the presence of participating bidders or their authorized representatives. Payment will be released only after full and complete satisfactory delivery, installation, and commissioning of equipment, supported by a formal Installation, Commissioning or Work Satisfactory Report from the end user. No advance or mobilization payments will be made. NUMS reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers and to select any quantity of items as determined by the Purchase Committee.
