For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT
Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.
GEPCO is procuring three distinct electrical equipment lots totaling significant unit volumes: 8 AC/DC panels, 8 control and relay panels combined, and 19 distance relays.
This represents moderate-scale industrial electrical equipment procurement typical of power distribution utility capital expenditure. Key constraints include mandatory NTDC type-testing (no fresh tests accepted), minimum annual turnover thresholds of PKR 12.2–30.5 million depending on lot, and delivery windows of 4–6 months. Bidders must be pre-authorized by major power sector entities. Three simultaneous bid openings suggest independent evaluation per lot, though all close on the same date.
Who can bid: Bidders must be registered or prequalified with DISCOs, NGC, WAPDA, GENCOS, or PPMC as authorized dealers, manufacturers, or suppliers. No foreign exchange element permitted. Typical requirements for electrical equipment suppliers in Pakistan include NTN registration, valid GST certificate, and demonstrated experience. Equipment must hold valid type-test certificates from NTDC-designated laboratories; undertakings alone are rejected.
