For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT

Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.

IESCO is procuring construction of a 17.7 km, 132 kV transmission line in the Federal Capital region, valued at approximately Rs 50.5 million.

This is a defined, government-backed infrastructure project with a firm closing date in September 2026. Bidders should note the corrigendum has been issued, requiring careful review of amendments. The project demands proven experience in high-voltage transmission work, proper PEC category licensing, and assembled technical resources before submission. Competition is likely to be significant given IESCO's scale and the tariff-funded nature ensuring payment security.

Who can bid: Typically, construction bidders must hold valid PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council) category C or higher for power transmission works, maintain active NTN and SECP registration, and demonstrate financial solvency. Specific eligibility thresholds regarding annual turnover, past contract value, and equipment availability are stated in the Bid Data Sheet (BDS) section of the tender documents and must be reviewed in detail.
