Description / Scope of Work
The National Highway Authority, Central Zone, invites e-bids for the construction of a 4-lane bridge across River Indus linking Layyah with Taunsa, including a 2-lane approach road and river training works spanning 23.006 kilometers. This major infrastructure project is divided into three packages with a combined estimated cost of Rs. 10,288.711 million. Package-IIA covers the approach road on the Layyah side (0+000 to 8+333 km) valued at Rs. 3,261.548 million; Package-IIB includes right and left guide banks (3.868 km total) at Rs. 3,221.698 million; and Package-IIC covers the approach road on the Taunsa side (9+883 to 24+556 km) at Rs. 3,805.465 million. The project is located in Punjab province, connecting the districts of Layyah and Taunsa across the Indus River.
Bidders must be registered with the Income Tax Department, listed on the Active Taxpayers List of the Federal Board of Revenue, and hold a valid PEC license for the Financial Year 2026-27 in Category C-B or above with specialization codes CE-01, CE-02, or CE-10. All bidding will be conducted electronically through the e-procurement platform. The procurement method is Single Stage-Two Envelope as detailed in the bidding documents. Prospective contractors are required to obtain EPADS (PPRA) registration at www.eprocure.gov.pk immediately, as manual hard copy bids will be eliminated in upcoming procurements.
Bidding documents are available for free download from September 07, 2026 on the NHA website at www.ebidding.nha.gov.pk. E-bids must be submitted on or before September 17, 2026 by 1100 hours. Technical e-bids will be opened on the same day at 1130 hours.
