Description / Scope of Work
The Government of Punjab, through the Services and General Administration Department (Implementation and Coordination Wing), has mandated the implementation of an E-Procurement system across all public offices in Punjab, effective from 01.07.2024. This initiative aims to achieve economies of scale, transparency, accountability and efficiency in public procurement of goods, works and services. The E-Procurement system is now mandatory for all public offices including attached departments, autonomous bodies, corporations and authorities in Punjab. The Executive Engineer Buildings Division Jhang, located at Library Chowk Jail Road in Jhang district, Punjab, is issuing this notice to facilitate participation in the e-procurement portal and to communicate tender opportunities to eligible contractors and suppliers. The implementation represents a significant modernization of procurement practices across the province and requires all bidders to register and transact through the designated electronic portal.
Eligibility criteria typically require bidders to possess valid NTN and relevant registration with SECP or their respective regulatory authorities. For construction works, valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration in the appropriate category is typically mandatory. All participating bidders must ensure compliance with the Government of Punjab's e-procurement directives and guidelines. Bid security, documents required and other conditions will be specified in individual tender notices issued through the portal.
Bid documents and tender notices are available on the official e-procurement portal at www.punjab.eprocure.gov.pk. Bidders may also access tender information through the PPRA website www.ppra.org.pk. For technical assistance regarding the e-portal, portal features or creation of login credentials, bidders may contact Mr. Sajid Latif, Director General E-Governance at PITA (Cell No. 0322-8888858). The system operates between 10:00 AM and 04:00 PM. All bidders are advised to register on the portal immediately to participate in upcoming tenders issued by Punjab Buildings Division Jhang and other departments across Punjab.
