Description / Scope of Work
The National Highway Authority (NHA), Sindh-South Region, is conducting a re-auction of a damaged pedestrian bridge on an as-is-where-is basis. The bridge, approximately 12 tonnes in weight, was dismantled from Khyber City at location KM 193+000–194+000 on National Highway N-5 and is currently stored at the NHA Plot in Hatri, adjacent to Hatri Police Station on Hyderabad Bypass Road. This re-auction pertains to the NHA Maintenance Unit at Hyderabad and follows the annulment of a previous auction notice published on 21 August 2026. The item is available for inspection during working days from 6 to 21 October 2026, between 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM at the Hyderabad Office (NHA Complex, near New Toll Plaza, Jamshoro), where prospective bidders may contact the Deputy Director (Maintenance) Unit at 0300-3011957.
Eligible bidders must obtain detailed auction and application forms from the NHA Administration Wing office on any working day during office hours by submitting a written request along with a non-refundable payment of Rs. 2,000 in favour of the National Highway Authority. Bids must be prepared in all respects and accompanied by a security deposit equal to 25% of the total bid amount as a pay order in the name of the National Highway Authority. All applicable government taxes at prevailing rates will be levied, though bids should be submitted without taxes to ensure fair competition.
Completed bids must reach the office of the undersigned on or before 22 October 2026 (Thursday) by 12:00 Hours. Bid opening will occur on the same day at 12:30 Hours in the Conference Room of NHA Regional Office (Sindh-South) Karachi in the presence of bidders. The successful bidder will bear all expenditures including loading, unloading, and NHA weigh station charges for determining actual weight, after which the material will be handed over on a per-kilogramme rate basis as per the actual weight receipt from the NHA Weigh Station at Hatri. The NHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids as per PPRA rules. This auction notice is also published on the PPRA website and can be accessed through the NHA website.
