Description / Scope of Work
The Quaid-i-Azam University in Islamabad, Federal Government invites sealed bids for the high-profile Establishment of the China-Pakistan Joint Research Centre (CPJRC) on Earth Sciences. This major PSDP-funded infrastructure project, supported by the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, is being executed on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) or Turnkey basis. The project scope includes the construction of state-of-the-art research and development laboratory buildings, an Innovation and Facilitation Block, and all necessary external utilities and infrastructure development. The completion period for this comprehensive facility is set at 24 months. Eligible bidders must be government-owned entities with a valid Pakistan Engineering Council registration in Category C-A and relevant specialization codes. Submissions require a bid security of 15 million Rupees and must demonstrate significant financial stability, including an average working capital of 300 million Rupees. Interested firms or joint ventures must submit their technical and financial proposals by 14:00 hours on 20 May 2026, following a mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for January. This center represents a critical step in advancing earth sciences research collaboration between Pakistan and China.
