Description / Scope of Work
The Quaid-i-Azam University in Islamabad, Federal Government invites sealed bids for the high-profile project involving the Establishment of the China-Pakistan Joint Research Centre on Earth Sciences. This significant initiative, supported by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, is being executed under an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction turnkey contract framework. The scope of work is comprehensive, encompassing the design and construction of dedicated Research and Development laboratory buildings, an Innovation and Facilitation Block, and extensive external infrastructure development. Key technical requirements include the installation of advanced mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, specialized laboratory equipment such as fume hoods and gas systems, and integrated Building Management Systems to support high-level scientific research. Eligibility is strictly limited to government-owned entities or state-owned contractors holding a valid Pakistan Engineering Council registration in Category C-A. Interested firms must submit a bid security of 15 million Rupees alongside their technical and financial proposals. The total completion time for this critical academic and strategic facility is set at 24 months from the date of commencement
