Description / Scope of Work
The Directorate General of Archaeology, Government of the Punjab in Jhelum, Punjab invites sealed tenders for the repair and maintenance of the historic Rohtas Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This significant conservation project involves various specialized restoration works, including the consolidation of masonry, structural repairs to the fortified walls, and general maintenance of the site's heritage infrastructure. Interested contractors must be pre-qualified or enlisted with the Archaeology Department and possess specific experience in handling historical monuments and heritage sites. Bidders are required to provide valid registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council and the Punjab Revenue Authority. The procurement follows the Punjab Procurement Rules, specifically the single-stage, one-envelope bidding procedure. Detailed tender documents, containing the bill of quantities and conservation guidelines, are available for purchase at the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Archaeology Sub-Division, Jhelum. Completed technical and financial proposals must be submitted no later than 11:30 AM on 23 May 2026. The bids will be opened at 12:00 PM on the same day in the presence of the site’s procurement committee and representatives of the participating firms.
