The Executive Engineer Highways Division Khanewal in Khanewal, Punjab, has issued a detailed estimate and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for the special repair of a metalled road spanning 0.36 km in Tehsil Kabir Wala. The project, valued at approximately 6.18 million PKR, involves comprehensive road rehabilitation tasks including the dismantling of existing soling, edging, and road pavement. Key technical specifications include earthwork for embankments, providing and laying sub-base course with crushed stone, and applying a bituminous prime coat followed by a 1.5-inch thick consolidated carpet. Structural works include reinforced cement concrete (Type C) for beams and columns, and the fabrication of Grade-60 mild steel reinforcement. The project also requires the installation of a 4x6 feet project board with reflective sheet. A bid security (earnest money) of 309,228 PKR is required, and the successful contractor will have a time limit of three months to complete the works.
