Construction of boundary wall up to 10 ft around District Prison Hyderabad

The Project Management Unit of the Prisons Department, Sindh is inviting sealed tenders for the construction of a boundary wall up to 10 feet in height around the premises of District Prison Hyderabad. This tender notice, referenced as NO. TC/PD/PMU/TENDER/748/of 2026, is issued from the Camp Office at Central Prison, Karachi and published in leading daily newspapers in English, Urdu and Sindhi. The work is to be completed within a period of 12 months and requires a bid security equivalent to 5% of the estimated project cost. Bidders must meet mandatory eligibility criteria including a valid CNIC for proprietors or partners, active registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) up to June 2026 in an appropriate category with relevant specialization codes, and an active tax payer list status with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) or Sindh Revenue Board (SRB). Applicants are required to demonstrate proof of experience and details of similar works executed during the last five years with minimum cost thresholds of 80% of estimated cost for one similar work, or 50% for two similar works, supported by performance certificates and colored photographs. Firms must also provide evidence of average annual financial turnover not less than the equivalent cost of the scheme during the last five years, verified through bank statements, tax returns and audit reports from chartered accountants registered with ICAP.

Sealed bids must be submitted through the E-PAD System before 05-06-2026 at 09:15 A.M. along with the tender fee of Rs. 5,000 and bid security in the form of a call deposit from a scheduled bank. Technical bids will be opened on the same date at 09:45 A.M. at the office of Project Director, PMU, Prison Department, Sindh, Camp Office Central Prison, Karachi. Original tender fee, bid security and e-stamping affidavits must be submitted in a sealed envelope by hand prior to the bidding process. Bid validity period is 90 days from the bid date.
