Description / Scope of Work
The Highway Division, Sargodha invites sealed bids for maintenance and repair works on roads in Sargodha District, Punjab. Two separate bid schedules are issued for road infrastructure and safety improvements. The first scheme covers maintenance and repair work for Zain Pur at the front of Hafsa National School Bhera on Bhera Malikwal Road, with an approximate contract value of Rs 1.267 million and earnest money of Rs 0.063 million. This work includes dismantling cement concrete plain in ratio 1:2:4, excavation in foundation with all necessary dressing and refilling, provision and laying of sub-base course with crushed stone aggregate, placing cement concrete plain with proper curing and compaction, and painting traffic lanes 5 inches wide with reflective chlorinated rubber paint. The second scheme involves lane marking for improvement of roads at Kalama Chowk Bhera to A.C Office on Bhera Malikwal Road, with an approximate contract value of Rs 1.289 million and earnest money of Rs 0.064 million, comprising thermoplastic paint application for both 5-inch and 12-inch wide traffic lane markings with glass beads for reflectivity. Both projects are located in the Sargodha district and must be completed within one month from the date of contract award.
Eligibility criteria require contractors to be registered with the relevant provincial authorities and possess necessary technical and financial capacity to execute road maintenance and construction works. Contractors must provide valid registration certificates and demonstrate previous experience in similar projects. Bid security or earnest money as specified in each bid schedule must accompany the tender submission. The technical sanctioned estimates have been prepared by the Highway Division, and all work must strictly adhere to the scope and specifications outlined in the detailed estimates without exceeding the quantities listed in the bid schedules unless revised approval is obtained from competent authority.
Bid documents are available from the Highway Division office in Sargodha. Sealed bids must be submitted as per the instructions provided in each bid schedule. The unit rates quoted by tenderers will be taken as correct in case of discrepancies with extended totals, and all amounts will be adjusted accordingly. Any work items not mentioned in the bid schedule but executed during the project shall be paid as per prevailing market rates from the Finance Department website for the month of technical sanction or as per contractor's quoted rate, whichever is lower. The rigid pavement and concrete work will be excavated using paver machinery. Clause 55 is not admissible for special repair works as per Secretary C&W directive dated 30-06-2022.
